Some looks at the design & content of a 1943 Camp Fire Girls “Certificate of Membership” including the tenets of the Camp Fire Girls Law (Seek Beauty, Give Service, Pursue Knowledge, Be Trustworthy, Hold on to Health, Glorify Work, and Be Happy) and the various ranks (Trail Seeker, Wood Gatherer, Fire Maker, and Torch Bearer).
Originally these cards would have been accompanied with a protective sleeve/holder that included an offer to send for a sterling silver membership pin for around $0.50 (which would be about $10-$12 today).
