Hello.

Endless Exotica the online catalog & light discussion forum for exotica (and “exotica adjacent”) music. The albums on this site represent the current collection of the Hanttula Music Library’s selections of exotica, Hawaiiana, hapa haole, Polynesian, Pacific, lounge, cocktail music, world music, novelty albums and more.

This project began around 2005* when a friend asked me to put together a playlist for their tiki bar (well before the era of Spotify playlists, streaming music, and such). A week or so of work grew into a month, then years. And now, 20+ years later, this collection is still being expanded & refined to serve as a guidepost to some niche & under-appreciated genres of music.

Built for anyone who loves getting lost in a good crate-dig and exploring some niche genres. The albums in this collection are meant to fit right in to a themed tiki, adventure, or vintage lounge environment. More albums are being added as time allows.

Have a look around. If you have any questions or needs, I can be reached at moc.liamgobfsctd-829831@acitoxesseldne.

(*Based, in part, off a music section of my 1995 site The Land of Atomic Living, which had its own nascent exploration of Exotica & “cocktail” music.)

2026 Rebuild

I recently rebuilt the site nearly from the ground up. Every album now lives in its own structured entry, which means genres, artists, and release years are fully browsable. You click through an artist’s name and see everything they’ve recorded in the collection or dive into a genre page to explore related albums side by side.

I’ve also added a complete Artist Index, so you can jump straight to any name in the catalog alphabetically or search as you type.

Design-wise, I’ve mostly refined what was already there rather than fully redo the visual work. I’d like to update it, but that’s a project in itself. Mostly, though, the site is more refined and is better designed for mobile than every before.

Behind the scenes, I’ve improved how the site shares album information with the wider web. Links shared on social media, search engines, and other platforms show richer, more accurate details about each release.

I’m continuing to expand and refine the catalog, as time allows. Thanks for exploring with me.
